My neighbour bought a metal stag to decorate for Christmas and asked if I could tat it a "horse blanket". This is what I came up with. I will try to write the pattern out, but I think it might be a bit complicated with the Celtic design!

I have now written out the pattern for this little snowflake motif and here is the link to the PDF
The link will also be found in my Free Pattern section and I hope you enjoy trying it out.

Last of the snowflakes
These 3 make 16 altogether for neighbour, Sue, which I think is enough. I shall give them to her this evening. I hope she likes them!

Snowflakes in bangles
Some of the snowflakes I have been working out. I am happiest with the top 2, this being my final design. I have used size 40 thread with varying bead sizes. The centre sequin is 6 sided (like a snowflake) and I have made a hole in each arm, using a red hot needle, to attach the thread to. The design is chains only and using split chains to climb out of each row. I also found a way to incorporate a bead on the split side of the chain!
