Endless Love by Linda S Davies

I wrote this poem for a friend whose husband had died. I thought I would share it so as to give comfort to others.

Endless Love by Linda S Davies

Like the thrusting of a sword
Death is not a pretty word.
The wound went deep inside my heart
The day that we were forced to part.
Life was cruel to take you so,
Even though you had to go.
Time will heal, so I've been told,
Maybe then I won't feel cold.
I'll see instead, without a tear,
Your smiling face I hold so dear.
And when at last the time has come
For me to go where you have gone,
I know you'll keep me safe from harm
Until you fold me in your arms.

Ankars bracelet

My first Ankhars bracelet. I know that Tatyana Buyvolova posted a link to YouTube but I don't know who to attribute the pattern to.

Ankhars Tatting

This is my first attempt at Ankhars tatting...(just never got around to it before)...which I really enjoyed doing.

Work box

This is the work box that I have made for Aimee Grace, my 9 year old friend (soon to be 10) who is desparate to learn to tat. We are hopefully going to have her first lesson on Sunday morning.

I make the box using old Christmas or birthday cards. There are 6 sides, a top and a bottom. Each piece is made with picture card, a backing card and padded and lined. The pieces are then all sewed together. In the past I have also made the pieces with cloth on the outside decorated with tatting instead of using picture cards.
