New Video Coming Soon!
I am in the process of doing another video tatting deomstration. This time it will be on 2 methods of doing split rings. I would appreciate some input as to whether this would be a useful subject.
Hi Linda, I'm a very new tatter and would love to see a video on split rings. After many years of trying to tat, it was a video on the net that finally clicked.
Absolutely!!! I have been doing split rings for over 15 years, but I know there are many people who are either new to tatting or need "visual" demonstration. People learn in different ways. For the many people out there who are "Visual learners" this would be a god-send, especially if they are isolated from other tatters and the internet is the only source they have.
Thank you all for your responses. I have done the recording. It is now up to number one son to do all the fiddly bits, but he has to fit it in around work. Yes, I know, life really does get in the way of tatting!
I will be looking forward to watching your video, because the last one showed me how to tat...Crazy, but when one learns from a book one never sees any flowing action, I 've watched the previous one several times and now try to tat in the same way! Thanks.
I know exactly what you mean, Snowy, the same thing happened to me! Many years ago (in nineteen hundred and frozen to death!) I saw a lady on TV tatting and that for me was a WOW moment. I have never looked back since!
I really agree with Snowy..I appreciate being able to see the hand movements and you make it very easy to understand the concepts, which has helped me with my tatting greatly. I am excited and can’t wait to see the next one. Have you thought of putting together a DVD for beginners?? (hint- hint) Jeannette
Oh yes. That would be wonderful. And if you are taking suggestions for new topics that would be helpful to "see" demonstrated....one would be that pesky split chain or bridging chain !!!
