Split chain video

Hello fellow tatters.

I am thinking of producing a short video to demonstrate the split chain. Do you think that it would be well received?

I don't mind doing it, as long as it would be useful to other tatters. For some reason, many tatters shy away from doing the split chain, and yet, once you get the hang of it, it really isn't difficult.....and such a useful tool to have at your fingertips!

I think it's a great idea. I learned the SC from pictures and written instructions, but a video would have been so much easier.

In the meantime, for those who are intimidated, there's no need to be put off a pattern just because of a SC. You can convert it to a regular chain, cut and tie, and start the next round fresh. The only thing the SC does is save you from hiding ends; it's not like a SR where sometimes nothing else will work.

That would be so helpful! I've seen photos of each step but I just don't get it...seeing it in action would be so much better.

I for one greatly appreciate your videos. You have helped me more times then I can count because I come back and review them often. I know they must be time consuming, but I sure would appreciate another one of your great videos.

Linda, I think it is a wonderful idea. As a newbie tatter I find videos a much easier learning tool than books. Thank you in advance.

I think it would be a good idea. I'm still not good at it and I have problems when doing the opposite side. I would rather not turn my work if I don't have to.

Linda, I think that you should go ahead and do it, I am also a newbie and would find it easier to watch a video.

After pouring over every tatting book I owned, watching dozens of videos, and searching several tatting blogs, it was your video on split chains that clicked for me.. Thanks so much for creating the video.
