I had some pearle 12 left on my shuttles from making my corsage and so used up the thread with this doily. It didn't flow as well as some of my designs, therefore I had a lot of wasted thread, however, I think the end result was worth it!

Oh, very much worth it, Linda. That is an extremely striking doily. It's got wonderful negative space -- a star and some hearts!
I particularly like the outside edge. This has a nice 'airy' look to it!
Very pretty doily, I like the negative spaces and am always fond of clovers as a design element.
A very lovely doily and well worth the time spent tatting it... I love the edging
