This is what I have come up with, but knowing tatting, there is probably something out in tatland that is almost, if not exactly, the same.
I have used a split ring to climb out of the centre ring and also self closing mock rings as part of the design.
I would be greatful if any of my followers could tell me if they recognise this pattern as another designer's. If it isn't the same as anyone elses then I will write the pattern out for it and publish it as a freebie.
Thank you, in advance, for your help with my quest!

I don't recognize it as anything but uniquely yours, Linda! It's loverly.
I don't think I have seen it.. very nice it will be lovely!
very nice!!!!
A nice square!
I can see why you believe there might be something similar aroun in tatland. It is the same thought as I had when making motifs to demonstrate different techniques. I can't recall having seen the SCMR with a floating ring on the corners, so it is probably unique!
I can't wait to see it finished. Looks terrific!
I haven't seen it before; but then I can hardly remember what I saw yesterday. LOL

I saw something that looked something like yours, but if yours is done and posted some where else, that could be it to. The one I saw was done in a variegated thread of light colors in off white and light yellow maybe. I made a comment about liking it because it had a different look to it.
nice motif|
I, also, don't recognize seeing anything like this. I'd say you're good for the go and I'll look forward to seeing your future work. Thanks for sharing the picture. Great work!

Wow! That looks like a beautiful snowfall coming down from your shuttle! So very pretty! It doesn't look familiar to me, either. Beautiful work, again! :)
