This is my very first bespoke snowflake. I used together a silky rayon thread about the size of quilting cotton and a silver thread. It measures approx 3" across and sparkles lovely in a good light.
Designer of many tatting patterns. Simple method of beaded tatting. Flowers are my inspiration!

All this holiday tatting is very inspiring! Your bauble is great, especially for a first go.
Keep up the good work.
I love the snowflake, the crown and the ornament. I just finished another daisy picot snowflake and was wondering how I could make a sparkly one. I'll have to give it a go. It looks very pretty.
Wow! I've got lots of ideas for holiday tatting, but nothing to show for it yet! I really like the ornament!
If you can get it, try the very fine Kreinik braid, too. I love to use the iridescent & the silver. There's not much thread on one of the spools, but even tiny flakes really 'pop' when made out of the glittery thread.
